PWR Racing Team is a team of students from the Technical University of Wroclaw, which since 2009 share a common goal – to build the car and start racing in international Formula Student competition. In every season we design and build a new car, improving individual elements. So far in our garage we already have six models. Competition Formula Student is not just a competition for engineers and managers so we are happy to work with other universities in Wroclaw. The history of our group dates back to 2009. When it turned up at Silverstone with a virtual project RT-09. A year later, we presented the first car built by us – RT-01. The following years gaining experience allowed us to complete the first Endurance race in the season 2013. From that moment we decided to redefine our strategy and resist further projects on best practices. We have created a great base for the development, on which successive members will build success.

The team’s latest project, RT09, is another milestone in the evolution or our construction. We will be basing it upon solutions that have proven to be working in the RT08, but we plan to introduce several new manufacturing technologies, to make RT09 even quicker, more agile and more reliable. At the moment we are in the concept phase, the result of which will be a complete assembly of the RT09 virtual model.
The team’s 2016/2017 project, RT08, is a compilation of best solutions from all the previous cars. Improved and developed aerodynamics package significantly increases grip in corners. Monocoque is more compact and lighter, comparing to the previous cars. The conventional overcurrent protection circuit was substituted by a PDM module. The whole wiring harness is made of ultralightweight wires and the communication between subassemblies is based upon a CAN bus.
